Welcome to Charlton Kings Infants' School

‘The wings to fly, the confidence to try’

Welcome to Charlton Kings Infants’ School website. Our vision is to provide a safe and inclusive environment where every child is given the support to thrive as a kind and considerate member of our community. We aim to ensure that our children become passionate learners who are independent and confident when taking managed risks, resilient when facing challenges ahead.

At CKIS we believe that every child is unique and equally important and valued.  We pride ourselves in achieving a caring, happy and friendly atmosphere which nurtures all children to achieve their true potential in all areas of their growth and development.  I have been the Head Teacher at CKIS since January 2017 and have seen the school grow from strength to strength over that time. I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to children's well-being, achieving high standards and providing exceptional development and learning opportunities for all in our care.

We look forward to welcoming our new Reception children in September 2024, and we're delighted that so many families have selected Charlton Kings Infants' as their chosen school. We are currently organising welcome and transition events for our new children and their families, and we will send out more information about these events later this term.

We are in the process of updating our school video. In the meantime, please do browse through the photographs below as these capture some of our wonderful children, staff, learning environments and rich learning opportunities, including our wonderful Forest School provision. We would love to show you around our amazing school. If you are interested in visiting, please contact our school secretary, Mrs Evans via
