Infant School Admissions: September 2024

Due to the impact of the falling birth rate in the UK in recent years, there are a small number of school places still available at Charlton Kings Infants’ School in Reception for September 2024. If you would like to find out more about our school, please contact us via secretary@ckis.org.uk or if you would like to apply for a place, please contact the School Admissions team at Gloucestershire County Council via school.admissions@gloucestershire.gov.uk.

Any child born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 can start school in the school year from 1 September 2024. Charlton Kings Infants' School is holding open day events for prospective families to come and learn more about the school. These events are being help on the following dates:

Tuesday 21st November - 9.30-10.30am

Tuesday 21st November - 7.00-8.00pm

Thursday 30th November - 9.30-10.30am

Thursday 30th November - 7.00-8.00pm

If you would like to attend one of these events, please email Mrs Durant, the School Busniness Manager via sbm@ckis.org.uk

At the start of the year in which your child is due to start school Gloucestershire County Council will send you a letter asking you to state, in order of preference, the school/s you would like your child to attend. It is Gloucestershire County Council who allocate places, not the school. If you do not get the school of your choice, you have the right to appeal to Gloucestershire County Council.
