Role title: Teaching Partner

  • 4x fixed-term, full-time roles (12 month contracts until August 2026)

All roles are term time only (38 weeks per year).

Hours: 31.25 hours per week (comprised of 28.75 hours as Teaching Partner plus 2.5 hours per week as Lunchtime Play Partner)

Salary is pro rata and paid according to the NJC salary scale at the following rates:

Teaching Partner - Grade 4, point 7-10 (depending on experience)

Lunchtime Play Partner - Grade 2, point 3

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a minimum of one year’s experience as a Teaching Partner supporting teaching and learning.
  • Can demonstrate high expectations of self and others and expertise in ensuring our young children make accelerated progress and thrive in their learning and development.
  • Can demonstrate expertise in scaffolding learning and ensuring adaptive teaching is inclusive for all, particularly vulnerable learners.
  • Can form positive and caring relationships with all children and work effectively as a member of a strong team.
  • Can motivate our young children to be increasingly independent and confident as they learn and grow.
  • Show initiative and the ability to be flexible.
  • Have a passion for the indoor and outdoor learning environments.
  • Have sound working knowledge of the EYFS framework and/or KS1 curriculum.
  • Can demonstrate how they have used assessment to inform and support next steps in learning for individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Embody the ethos and vision of the CKIS community and actively contributes to the wider community.
  • Can demonstrate excellent subject knowledge of early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
  • Have a sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Share our commitment to high quality CPD and personal professional improvement.
