Post Title: Kindergarten Lead Practitioner

Contract: Fixed term (12 months)

Hours: 37 per week (term time only, plus 3 weeks)

Salary: Grade 7, Point 21-25 - full time equivalent £26,975-£30,095 (dependent upon experience)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a highly effective leader who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates positive and caring relationships with children, families, colleagues and the wider setting/school community.
  • Is committed to providing a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for all.
  • Has a secure understanding of the EYFS framework and its statutory requirements.
  • Has experience of establishing, developing and leading high quality EYFS provision and practice.
  • Has experience of leading staff to ensure high quality inclusive teaching and learning for all.
  • Understands the importance of assessment for learning and is effective in leading the monitoring and tracking of children’s progress to improve their outcomes.
  • Motivates our young children to be increasingly independent and confident as they learn and grow.
  • Is innovative in seeking new opportunities and experiences and is committed to ongoing CPD.
  • Shows initiative and the ability to be spontaneous.
  • Has a passion for both the indoor and outdoor learning environments.
  • Is committed to sharing the setting and schools’ vision and ethos.
  • Is flexible and forwards thinking, demonstrating effective sharing of experience and practice across the EYFS both within the Kindergarten and the school.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge of early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.
  • Has a sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm.
