PFA at CKIS
Welcome to the Parents and Friends Association at Charlton Kings Infants' School
We are parents of children that attend CKIS who, on a voluntary basis, organise activities to raise funds for the school. The PFA exists to support the school, so that the children have the most memorable, varied and vibrant experience as they embark on their school journey.
It is a huge team effort. Thanks to parents and carers volunteering their time and skills, joining us at events, buying raffle tickets, baking cakes and giving generously, we raised over £20,000 for the school in the 2024/2025 academic year.
We are a registered charity (Charity number 1053722) and our key committee members are trustees of this charity.
We need your views!
Our PFA run regular fundraising events throughout the year. We can only continue to run with the support of our amazing volunteers. Please take a few minutes to let us know which events and activities are of interest and where you might be able to support us and/or donate some of your time, here: https://forms.office.com/e/PmK3ese4Ga
Where do the funds go?
Every year, we raise vital funds to buy resources that enrich the children's experience of CKIS. IIn the past we have paid for iPads, our very own library provision and on-site Forest School, ice-creams for trips and Y2 leavers presents, to name but a few… Last year we focused on redeveloping the outdoor area with the purchase of Little Engineers (a versatile mini construction set for Y1) and an Adventure Trail (for all year groups) We are hoping that the Adventure Trail will be installed very soon! More info to come.

Can I get involved?
Yes!
As a parent or carer of a pupil at CKIS you are automatically part of the PFA . There are lots of different ways to be involved including joining the committee and attending bi-monthly meetings, being a class rep, helping at events or behind the scenes. We are a friendly lot and would love to have more enthusiastic helpers! We all have times when we may not be able to contribute as much, but any time you can give would be so much appreciated.

How do I find out more?
Each class has a class rep who can fill you in on everything or point you to someone who can help. Or come along to a meeting held in the staff room (information about the next meeting will be shared via the class WhatsApp groups).
