Welcome to the Parents and Friends Association at Charlton Kings Infants' School

We are parents of children that attend CKIS who, on a voluntary basis, organise activities to raise funds for the school. The PFA exists to support the school, so that the children have the most memorable, varied and vibrant experience as they embark on their school journey.

It is a huge team effort. Thanks to parents and carers volunteering their time and skills, joining us at events, buying raffle tickets, baking cakes and giving generously, we raised over £13,000 for the school in the 2022/2023 academic year.

We are a registered charity (Charity number 1053722) and our key committee member are trustees of this charity.

We need your views!

Our PFA run regular fundraising events throughout the year. We can only continue to run with the support of our amazing volunteers. Please take a few minutes to let us know which events and activities are of interest and where you might be able to support us and/or donate some of your time, here:

Where do the funds go?

Every year, we raise vital funds to buy resources that enrich the children's experience of CKIS.  In the past we have paid for: iPads, our very own library provision and on-site Forest School, the redevelopment of the outdoor area, ice-creams for trips and Y2 leavers presents, to name but a few….

Can I get involved?

As a parent or carer of a pupil at CKIS you are automatically part of the PFA . There are lots of different ways to be involved including joining the committee and attending bi-monthly meetings, being a class rep, helping at events or behind the scenes.  We are a friendly lot and would love to have more enthusiastic helpers! We all have times when we may not be able to contribute as much, but any time you can give would be so much appreciated.

How do I find out more?

Each class has a class rep who can fill you in on everything or point you to someone who can help. Or come along to a meeting held in the staff room (information about the next meeting will be on the PFA noticeboard in the playground).

If you want to know more about PFA, have a look and listen to our presentation below highlighting some of the ways we've raised money and the fabulous things we've been able to buy for the school.
