SEN and Disability

A new duty in the SEN Code of Practice was placed on Local Authorities from September 2014 and this is referred to as the 'Local Offer'.  The purpose of the Local Offer is to provide information for parents, in a single place, which helps them to understand what services they can expect from a range of local agencies - including their statutory entitlements.

It should make clear what provision is available for their child in early years settings, schools, colleges and other serivces, including health and social care.  All information within the Local Offer section is there to support families of Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEN&D) from 0 to 25 years.

Details of the latest Gloucestershire Local Offer can be found here

The document that follows is Charlton Kings Kindergarten offer which details the provision that our Kindergarten is currently able to offer children with SEN&D.

The school's Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) is Mrs Harriet Jackson who can be contacted by parents via the Kindergarten or via email at sendco@ckis.org.uk
