EYFS - Kindergarten

Here are some ideas for activities you might like to try with links to the different areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Week beginning: 18.05.20

Area Of Learning

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

  • Make a card for a friend or family member telling them what you like about them or why they make you happy.

Communication and Language

  • Make a song bag by putting some pictures or props in a bag to represent some of your favourite songs. Pick out an item and sing the song.

Physical Development

  • Use a supermarket magazine to make a collage of healthy and treat foods. Why are they healthy/treats? Which are your favourite foods?

  • Draw or chalk some numbers outside. Roll a dice then use a squirty water bottle or water gun to squirt the number that matches.

Understanding the World

  • Freeze some small toys in a balloon filled with water. Who will be the first to get their toy out? How will you do it?

  • Get someone to hide the letters of your name around the house. Can you find them and then put them back in the correct order?

Expressive Arts and Design

  • Make frozen paints by freezing some water in ice cube trays and adding some paint or food colouring.
