Vacancy for School Business Manager (SBM)

Charlton Kings Infants’ School (Academy Status) is a very popular, over-subscribed three form entry, infant school situated in Charlton Kings on the edge of Cheltenham. It has an attached Kindergarten which is managed on a day to day basis by a Lead Practitioner. Recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, the school provides a broad, high quality education and a wide range of after school clubs and extra-curricular activities.

Post Title: School Business Manager (SBM)

Contract: Permanent

Hours:   37.5 hours per week for 42 weeks per year, although the working hours of the role could be flexible for the right candidate.

Grade: J (pts 34-42) £30,153 - £37,306 pa pro rata (depending upon experience and qualifications)

We are seeking to employ a School Business Manager (SBM) who will be accountable for all business functions of the school including Finance, Administration, HR, ICT, Facility and Property, Health and Safety.

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of excellence in the School Business Manager role;

Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) & Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (KS1 TA)

Post Title: Early Years Foundation Stage TA and Key Stage 1 TA

Contract: Temporary

Hours: 8.30am - 3.00pm, term time only (38 weeks)

Salary: Grade E (dependent upon experience)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can form positive and caring relationships with all children

  • Motivates our young children to be increasingly independent and confident as they learn and grow

  • Shows initiative and the ability to be spontaneous

  • Enjoys planning and leading play-based learning opportunities

  • Has a passion for the outside classroom and knowledge of Forest school learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage 

  • Is confident with the EYFS framework and its assessment procedures

  • Is a good team player who is willing to contribute to the ethos and wider community of the school

  • Possess excellent subject knowledge of early phonics, reading, writing and numeracy

  • Has a sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm

  • Shares our commitment to CPD

Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA)

Post Title: Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA)

Contract: Permanent

Hours:  5 per week (12.00-1.00pm), term time only (38 weeks)

Salary: £7.11 per hour

We are looking for someone who

  • can work well in a team;

  • would like to work part time, with infant school children, in a happy and friendly school;

  • is a positive and committed individual who will be able to take responsibilty for ensuring the safety and well-being of our children during their lunchtime break;

  • shares our commitment to CPD.
